In tribute to the breathtaking beauty of Japan’s terraced rice fields, we have meticulously designed layers that celebrate sake’s most noble ingredient: rice. Each glass in the collection reflects a careful dialogue between form and material, enhanced by the pristine transparency of Kimoto glass, allowing the liquid to reveal its color, clarity, and subtle nuances. Through this design, Döppel captures the very essence of sake, transforming each sip into a ritual that engages the senses.

Kimoto Glass

“An invitation to slow down and savor the poetry born when glass and rice meet.”

This collection is not merely functional it invites the refined practice of French-style table setting, where every detail, from placement to presentation, becomes an expression of care and elegance. By bridging Japanese tradition and French culinary artistry, the project celebrates a harmonious meeting of two cultures, offering a multi-sensory experience that honors the art of exchange and the deep respect for centuries-old craftsmanship. It is an invitation to slow down, appreciate the materiality of both glass and rice, and embrace the poetry that arises when heritage and contemporary design converge.
